This medium hot pepper variety is harvested when red, dries well and is a great way to add a little spice to any dish. This plant will grow an abundant amount of 3″ long hot red peppers, they can be eaten green or red, these peppers can also be ripened off the plant, this Korean hot pepper plant makes excellent hot pepper jam.
Growing Instructions: Plant outdoors when night time low temperatures are consistently above 12°C, place a handful of compost beneath each plant. Water deeply and less frequently, early in the day or later in the afternoon. Do not over water.
Harvest Instructions: Carefully cut fruit from plant when full sized before they soften. Harvest regularly. Fruit that grows after late August will not usually develop or ripen. Pull out the entire bush just before the first frost and hang it upside down in a warm, dry place to ripen hot peppers.
Companion Planting: Plant with basil, carrots, cucumbers, eggplant, Perilla, parsley, and tomatoes. Avoid planting next to beans, Brassicas, or fennel.
